President Obama’s speech was very beautiful written and was referring to all Americans.
If you’re going to use the 5 points rhetorical pentagram, then let us start by talking about the speaker.
Obama is a well informed and well speaking man. He manage to referees too all the groups that are presented in the United States. Obama paid tribute to all ethnic groups, including "gay, straight, disabled and not disabled" saying that "Americans who sent a message to the world that we have never been just a collection of individuals or a collection of red states and blue states. They are and always will be the United States of America.
Obama thanked his wife and children and let us all know that a puppy is coming to the White House.
By saying these words, and the words about the human deference’s, he was using ethos to make himself one of them and letting all of them know, that he know how they feel, and that America is a place for all kinds of people.
The subject for the speech was how he was feeling about the win and to thank people. And then to tell the Americans how he did it, and how he will run the country in the future.
Senator Obama paid tribute to the old warrior who ran against him, Senator John McCain, as a way to sound humble as required.
He’s language was up to date and he was well spoken. He managed to sound intelligent without using any hard words.
Obama was speaking to Americans in the US, this wasn’t just a win for the democrats, it was a victory for all people.
